Linking in XHTML 2.0

Definitely a step forward from our perspective:
Linking in XHTML 2.0
http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/library/x-xhtmlnk.html

Specifically, the XHTML Hypertext Attributes Module:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml2/xhtml2.html#s_hyperAttributesmodule
(defines the "href" attribute, and also the new "cite" attribute which
provides a link to the SOURCE of some content, both of which are now
valid on all elements.)

And the XHTML Embedding Attributes Module:
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml2/xhtml2.html#s_embeddingmodule
(defines the "src" attribute, also now valid on all elements, thus
finally implementing generalised transclusion.)
