Question

Just downloaded cosmicbook...

I have a current interest in XLINK implementations - esp. the extended links
where the link info is stored in a named collection external from the
underlying documents... I make the case that this is a possible
implementation ov Vannevar Bush's description of named trails in "As We May
Think". (I call these Vannevar Trails (VT's))

I also thought XLINK might be of interest to T Nelson in that the tagging is
external to the underlying documents (although admittedly still relies on
internal tagging in the referenced documents) - based on "Embedded Tags
Considered Harmful".

Q: Is there any thoughts of using Cosmicbook in an "XML way" for XLINK
applications.... this appears to be an extremely useful way to make links
"visible" (certainly would be great for "debugging" - where you don't look
at the XLINK code - you look at the visual realization of the link on the
screen) - and ultimately perhaps to create the link in a visual way in the
first place (much like VB describes) - have the two documents visible in
front of you and make a permanent link by entering some code - or in this
case - by connecting the two pieces of information on the screen.

Thanks...Hugh
