I am using the original with the long number patch. I also changed mkfifo to a usage of popen2, I guess that is my addition.
 
on python 2.3.3 in cygwin, it crashes in a very weird way producing the following trace back:

I do not understand this error.
 
I definitely think they could help, if they work for the version you say they work for. it would be best for me, if they were put together [in a .tar.gz] as a drop-in replacement for the pyxi directory in the green distribution.
 
I guess to summarize. the main problem with green is that the front end in the distribution available at udanax.com is broken. I propose if there is one that works, a new version of the distribution should be produced and made available on udanax.com.
