In this I agree with Michael. The sleazoid smalltalk way of ignoring
details indefinitely and just making the code work has obvious
advantages, in that one doesn't have to lose state to clean things up.
The disadvantages are just as obvious, bad examples spread all through the
code, and lurking bugs.
