Weekly Planning Meeting, 12/5

Highlights 12/5:

It's been a wonderful week. The humongous congratulations go 
to dean, who has completed an ent good enough to put into Alpha. 
Now begins a new phase in the saga of Xanadu: the integration 
of the quietest data structure revolution in human history.

The big congratulations go to hill and michael. Hill 
tested the garbage collector to exhaustion (though of course 
he then reclaimed the memory and started fresh :-). He now has 
a lunch bet on the garbage collector. Meanwhile, michael pulled 
the plug on URDI...and the data is still ticking! (URDI is the 
piece of the backend that protects us from power failures).

Meetings: Capability Review starting at 11AM on Wednesday December 
13.Dean, present ent to hill, michael, markm, 7PM Tuesday and 
1PM Wednesday. bobp, marcs, markm, discuss permissions. Bobp, 
hugh, discuss apple people and bugs Ravi, marcs, discuss Zortech 
and the backend. Markm, marcs, discuss fixing C++. Version 2 
of the infinity meeting on Wednesday. Markm, roger discuss smalltalk. 
There will be a Debating Society meeting on sizzling frontends, 
Wednesday December 6 at 7PM. Marcs, all the programmers, discuss 
Pearl Harbor options on December 11 at 2PM. markm, michael, log 
sessions. Ravi, dean, talk about ent interface. Roger, hugh, 
dean, discuss system independent attributes for the frontends.
